After obtaining his B.A. in Chemistry from Emory University in Atlanta, Dr. “Skip” Eaker attended University of Miami for his medical degree. He then completed an Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis, followed by a Chief Residency at University of Tennessee’s VA Medical Center. He also did a Gastroenterology Fellowship at University of Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Eaker has his Florida and Kansas state licenses and is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Internal Medicine, including a subspecialty in Gastroenterology. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Gastroenterological Association, AGA Committee on Gastroenterology Research, American Society of Cell Biology and the GI Section of the Southern Medical Association.
